Second, follow our Inbound Shipping guidelines closely - we don't want your iPaq showing up here in worse shape than it is in already!... Third, sit back and relax... Your iPaq couldn't be in better hands.  We'll make the necessary repairs and get it shipped back to you as quickly as possible and won't actually charge you anything until the repairs are completed.

If you order our iPaq Refurbishment Program for the 31/36/37xx series iPaq, please use the column on the left side of the order form to other any additional services required.  In most cases, we can replace any other needed parts in conjunction with your Refurb for less than it would cost you to order the parts and do it yourself.

Touch Screen Replacement:  Just because you see broken glass, doesn't mean that your iPaq should become an expensive paperweight.  Compaq/HP considers all cases of a broken screen to be non-warranty, so you can either pay them for the factory repair, or pay us much less for the repair using parts straight from the factory.  In most cases, we can replace just the Touch Screen Layer and get you back in business for a bargain price.  This is also the perfect compliment to the iPaq Refurbish Program to remove those pesky "solitaire" marks or other scratches from the screen surface.  If you see what appears to be black ink underneath the broken glass, you will need to order the Whole LCD Replacement below.	$55.00	$75.00
LCD Replacement:  If you see what appears to be black ink lurking underneath your screen (whether you see evidence of broken glass or not), you need the entire LCD assembly replaced.  You might be able to do this a few dollars cheaper by replacing the LCD layer only and taping your original Touch Screen back on top but we do not believe that this is the best approach.  If your screen has taken a blow sufficient to actually break the LCD, we recommend replacing the entire LCD Assembly.  These LCD assemblies are direct from the factory and we completely seal them in excess of Compaq/HP standards to minimize the risk of dust contamination in the future.	$165.00	$199.00
Battery Replacement: Remember how long your iPaq's battery lasted when you first showed it off to your friends?  Did you leave your poor iPaq sitting neglected in a closet for an extended period without giving it a boost? Stylus Lock Replacement:  This is the latest revision stylus guide/lock for the iPaq from the manufacturer.  This is always included free in the Refurb and D-I-Y Refurb kit and replaced for free with any other repair if needed.  If you are sending your iPaq in for any service event, do not include this on your order - if it needs replacing, we will replace it.  If you are sending in your iPaq for ONLY a stylus replacement, this is for you. Screen Cleaning and Sealing: This involves removing the LCD/Touch Screen assembly from your iPaq, tearing the LCD down in our dust-free environment, and removing any dust/glass fragments that are emitting that "eerie" glow.  After cleaning your screen, we will seal it well beyond the Compaq/HP spec with static-free capton tape to try and keep those little dust bunnies away.  Every effort will be made to remove all contamination, however there is a possibility that your "traumatized" iPaq screen will not ever be as "good as new".  If we can't get it back to "as good as new" condition, we will contact you (and send you pictures if you like) and let you decide if the repair is good enough or if you want to replace it altogether.  The improvement is well worth the money!  This service is included in the cost of the Refurb Service so there is no need to specify it here if you are already ordering the Refurb Service above. Switch-Board Replacement:  Although you always handle your iPaq with tender loving care, somehow the battery on/off switch is broken or the Joystick no longer provides you any "joy" or when you press the four "launch" buttons, nothing launches.  As impossible as it sounds, the sync cable connector on the bottom of your iPaq could even be damaged.  Sounds like you need a new Switch-Board.	$25.00	$45.00

Repair Flipped Screen/Inverted Screen: Feeling a little turned around?  It's hard to believe without actually seeing it first-hand, but the image on your iPaq can actually flip upside down or reverse like you are looking at the screen in a mirror.  Sometimes applying a little pressure to the bezel plastics will turn things back around, but this is temporary and certainly not recommended.  It's not that much, just get it to us and we'll put it under the microscope and make things right again.	$35.00	$55.00
Sound - Speaker or Audio Jack Replacement: What? You don't hear any sound from the built-in speaker underneath the joypad? Try plugging headphones into the headphone jack at the top of the unit. If the sound works through the headphones, but never switches back to the built-in speaker when the headphones are unplugged, you need the jack replaced... if you've given your built-in speaker a strong  drink of your favorite beverage , you probably need the speaker replaced.	$25.00	$40.00
Repair "Backlight" or Screen "Inking": Another one that would be hard to imagine.  If drawing a straight line on your screen results in something similar to a sawblade, you need this service.  Turning off the backlight will often make this problem go away, but you didn't spend all of that money on the iPaq for the dark screen, did you?  Speaking of dark screens, is yours getting dimmer and dimmer with time?  This service is probably for you!	$20.00	$35.00

Internal Battery Replacement: Remember why you bought that 38xx or 39xx series iPaq instead of searching ebay for a good, used, older unit?  Well, the increased battery life and screen improvements in the 38xx and 39xx had to be high on your list.  Just like you, your iPaq loses a little stamina over time... but that's no reason to put ol' faithful out to pasture.  This is the original OEM 1400mAh battery that will restore your iPaq back to the youth and vigor that it had when it was young.   Note:  The iPaq's Lithium Polymer battery responds best to being left on the charger when not in use and doesn't retain memory like some of the other rechargeable battery technologies.	$70.00

Switch-Board Replacement:  Although you always take great care when inserting the sync cable into the port in the bottom of your iPaq, somehow now upon close examination it appears to be a little mangled.  This Switch-Board contains a new sync connector, new launch buttons, new joypad controller and a new reset switch.	$55.00
Replace Front or Rear Exterior Plastics:  When you drop the 38xx or 39xx series iPaqs... the black plastic piece on the top of the front bezel is usually the first casualty.  Please specify in the shopping cart notes whether you need the front or back plastics replaced (if it isn't going to be painfully obvious to our technicians).	$45.00
