This is a replacement for the hard drive cable inside your iPod 2nd Generation. This part is frequently damaged when the iPod is disassembled. If you have taken your iPod apart and upon reassembly you get the "file folder" error icon, this would be the first thing to check. If you don't feel comfortable with opening it back up or if you are unsure if this is what is ailing your iPod, just send it in for one of our technicians to take a look. We do not charge a diagnostic fee and can save you the time (and expense) of "part swapping" until you nail the problem part.
